conflicting mondays
Hah so its Monday again. The start to a new week!!! you see I learnt that Monday is one of the trickiest days of the the week.
God started creation on the first day which has been hotly debated on whether its Sunday or Monday and clearly its irrelevant the point it the first day even GOD started off with vigour creating heaven and earth.
Monday its the day you are expected to be sound and creative because guess what its the start of the week. Monday morning meetings are supposed to be adrenaline filled because you are full of zeal to start a new week, new challenges.
Of course this happens in an ideal world.
In the real world, Monday reminds you, you have six days to go through to the end of the week. Some times people have back-load from the last week so Monday is a reminder that the work you boss needed on Friday is still on your desk, you know that dossier you promised would be on his desk on Friday afternoon.
So you come dreading running into your boss becuase you know you havent done his work.
Monday comes right after the weekend. you know the crazy parties, weddings, catering to children and their home work, laundry, house cleaning, church, catching up on series and the endless list goes on and on
So as the week starts people are actually fatigued from the weekend so the work pace is slower than usual.
But again you have to remember that Monday is the business day of the week. serious business pitches are done on Monday because its presumed you had the whole weekend to prepare to deliver a pitch that can score your company that project they have been working on for a while now.
So Monday is braced with mixed feelings. Some breathe a sigh of relief because weekend duties of being a wife, mother, girlfriend are shortened to just 12hours.
Some believe this Monday is the day someone will take their applications for jobs seriously and finally be called for an interview.
Some feel like Monday is a 48hr day with tonnes of work seemingly not ending.
So i wish you luck on Monday.
